Lately I seem to be in great demand, at work anyhow! Everybody wants Shirley Anne to work for them. Mustn’t grumble about that though! Partially I am in it for the money of course but I enjoy the work and meeting people.
If I go out I seem to attract attention, often uninvited attention, especially from guys. Am I just easy to approach? Probably! I am a very gregarious girl and I can make friends very easily. It is nice to be popular of course it is but it must be for all the right reasons, yes?

Have you noticed in your corner of the world how there is such a constant battle against forces of evil? The news is replete with stories of violence, abuse, robberies, muggings, burglaries, hate crime otherwise known as homophobic crime. The list seems to be endless. Knife crime seems to be increasing day by day. People in my town are frightened to go out at night or visit the town itself sometimes.
Yet there are many good things happening too. It appears to me that these days there is a distinct lack of respect for other people in some quarters and an unashamed disregard for the law. Where is it all going to end?

Well my ex and I went out today for to buy a couple of clothing items. Yeah sure! I came away with three skirts, two tops, two bras, a dozen pairs of knickers, a scarf, three necklaces, a bangle, a pair of earrings, two pairs of shoes and a bag! I bought her a skirt, a top and a bra, only because she couldn’t find anything else she liked! LOL……Then we went to a restaurant for dinner. Nice day, can’t wait for the next one!

Spring is just around the corner for me. OK it’s still only half way through Winter but my thoughts are elsewhere. In late Spring I shall be visiting New York for the first time and I am looking forward to seeing a couple of my friends there, (there are other friends elsewhere that I want to see too but later). I am ready to go shopping for some nice new clothes as the Spring fashions are already in the stores. The way things are at the moment there should be some real bargains to be had. I’ll have to see.

I sometimes think I do too much. My work is important to me and although it is sometimes very demanding it is a pleasure to do. It keeps me reasonably fit and active, gets me out of the house, I get to meet people and I get a bonus….they pay me for what I do! Can’t be bad but I sometimes feel the day was too hard. We are by nature creatures of habit and we like to be doing something, anything, yet we moan about our lot. If we live a life of luxury we get bored and want something different. When we get that we want something else. There is no end to it. I think we were simply born to work, to labour and to have ‘time off’ now and then to do something else. It works for most of us anyhow.

Having just gone six rounds with my dashboard editing function I have come to the conclusion that it isn’t all that difficult to achieve what you want to do in these pages. It just takes determination, practice and in my case many laps of the circuit before finally finding the exit.
Something I apply to my life in a way. I may be a slow learner but I get there eventually, sometimes with a little help from my friends. Hey! Where’s everyone gone?

It’s a brand new day, a turning of yet another page in my life. How many more pages there will be I have no idea nor do I wish to. What is more important is to live each of my days as if it were my last. I encourage you to do the same. Time is all we have in this world and that is passing. We come with nothing and we leave with nothing except the knowledge that we leave our mark. Let that mark be a good one. Hurt nobody and enjoy your life.
