After a very good night’s sleep I finally arose and started on the innumerable things one has to do when returning from vacation. When I got home yesterday rather tired after fourteen hours travelling and negotiating the various obstacles placed in our way on the road system surrounding Montreal at peak hour followerd by other problems at the airports (we had two flights, plus my ex. and I had difficulty in getting her the wheelchair she needed at one of them) and then more traffic problems at home, I thought, ah, at last I can relax. My youngest son had a faulty car which we couldn’t resolve (faulty starter), the house alarm detectors activated the internal ‘buzzer’ each time we walked past them, which drove us potty until I contacted the alarm people who talked me through how to reset it over the phone. My stomach craved for ‘normal’ food after the garbage they supply at the airport and planes so I prepared something. Later I emptied my suitcase and did some washing.
Today I did more washing and tidying around, had another look at the starter but now the battery is dead and is being charged as I write. We may be able to push start it later then take it to be serviced on Monday. that will be at my expense no doubt. My youngest hasn’t the best paid job in the world. Yesterday my eldest asked me for a ‘loan’, well two loans to be precise, one immediately which I gave him and one later that will help with his career. I’ll probably have to wave those monies goodbye. Yes, same old things, nothing changes.
Had a moment or two to play my guitar ealier which makes me feel good and then later I managed a mile or so on my treadmill. Boy do I need to lose my holiday tummy!
Some people really are cheeky aren’t they? I received a phone call today from somebody seeking advice over an electrical matter. Not ‘Will you come and sort it out for me but can you tell me what I did wrong’? Being such a nice person and being in a good mood I gave in to my generosity.
Nothing changes but I do hope to get some work soon just to get away from it all! LOL
