Life’s a long song……….

Do you remember that song by Jethro Tull? I am not certain whether I have used the title as an introduction before but no matter. Every now and then I am inspired in my thoughts, I have what I feel is a discernment as to what life is about. It isn’t something I could say was tangible, more just a feeling inside. Maybe it’s the same for you, in your own way of course. At moments like this I have feelings of euphoria, feelings of being loved, feelings of security in seemingly insecure times. Much of how I feel is centered around my faith but sometimes they are unconnected or appear to be so. Whichever way it is they make me feel that life is a long song, an enjoyment to live even if times seem hard and difficult. Another noticeable thing is that these feelings are becoming more frequent as I age. I have noted in the past how much I like the little cat naps that I sometimes have usually after eating a meal. These feelings of euphoria are equally enjoyable. I laugh and joke a lot, it’s who I am. It is not always appreciated though and sometimes it is taken the wrong way, probably because not everyone has the same sense of humour. Life should be enjoyed in every form it takes else what is the point in living? Scripture encourages us to enjoy our ‘meaningless’ existence for it is all we have whilst we are here. Life’s a long song. Eternity is even longer!
