For those who may not have noticed I have changed and re-arranged my PAGES above. One of the main additions is the My Complete Story, which is a fairly long read. I hope those who read it find it interesting. Another page has disappeared because most of it’s content is in the new page. Other minor re-arrangements have been made too.

If any of you look at my music page above you might want to know that I have added some more. I have been slowly recording them and placing them on my YouTube channel (the links are on this home page) but there are still more to record and even place on here. When I will do that is anyone’s guess. In the meantime I hope you like them.

Sad losses

Posted by Shirley Anne on September 22, 2011

Today I visited the blog of a woman many of you will know if you move in the transgendered community online, her name was Melissa and I am sad to have to refer to her in the past tense as she died on 20th August after a long struggle with cancer. I have been looking at her site for a while hoping to find some good news about her but today one of the girls has posted a notice regarding her sad departure. Melissa suffered much with her illness especially in the last few weeks but now she is free of all that pain. If you would like to leave a message here is her link  http://melissasmeanderings-melissa.blogspot.com/

A Journey Called Life

Image via Wikipedia

A few days ago I received an email from Jenny who shares the responsibility of  I guess monitoring and looking after the interests at T-Central. She asked if she could place a link to my humble blog in an article she wrote for the T-Central website. I had no reservations in allowing her to include a link to my blog so that is what she did. I realised that I might get some visitors from subscribers to T-Central and indeed that was the case. I hope anyone visiting my site will not be disappointed. Although I am a transitioned girl I don’t major on my past preferring to write about my everyday existence instead. For me, the past is done with and serves no useful purpose in my life now. I have posted articles regarding my journey to where I am now but they are there more for the benefit of others rather than myself. In my life I no longer talk about being transsexual because I am not, I have transitioned, I am a woman. Simple as that. I feel that life is too short to be always looking back because for me the future is far more important. I won’t say my journey in life to where I am now has been easy because it hasn’t always been so but life is full of challenges and I am happy that I have come through it all unscathed. Life is what you make of it. You do what you have to do to survive and be happy. I want to thank all those who have recently visited my blog for the first time, not because it has boosted my readership, that is just a bonus. I encourage you to comment on anything you find interesting as the mood takes you.

In olden times many main routes in this country, (I say routes rather than roads for there weren’t many roads as such other than those the Romans had built during their occupation of this land) were dotted along their length at various places with large stones by the wayside indicating the distance ahead to the next main town. Later, wooden signposts literally pointed in the direction of the next village or town. The stones and signposts were engraved with the mileage so that one could tell how much further one had to go and how long it might take to get there. These days of course distance is no object and almost everywhere in this land can be reached within twenty-four hours. In long times past most folk simply didn’t travel far from their homes and villages, it was too dangerous to do so. There was no real need to leave their community. Nowadays the whole world is a community. We can travel  to almost anywhere that is heavily populated within that same twenty-four hours and within a couple of more days, travel anywhere on this planet! We need not leave our places of residence today much as they did long ago because today we have the Internet and can communicate with people around the globe. This blog can be read anywhere in the world with the right equipment. When I first began to write here I struggled to find something to write about but now I am able to write much more having gained the confidence and experience. Today I have reached a milestone in my adventure, writing my blog posts. Today marks the 1,000th post on this site! Indeed a milestone. Well it is for me. I hope I can continue to write and that those who read my ramblings will find some interest in my content.

SODOM’S PRIDE WAS GAY PRIDE

Don Costello

Published 06/01/2011 – 3:29 a.m. CST
Gay Pride or Homosexual Pride is a term we think was coined in modern times, but Scripture points to it as being much older, over 4000 years older as we shall see in this study. The modern homosexual movement began in New York City in June of 1969, and as we enter June of 2011, we will see the observance of the 42nd anniversary of the Stonewall Inn Riots. Those riots, in the minds of many, marked the beginning of the homosexual rights movement. For a brief history lesson: on the early morning hours of June 28th 1969, New York City police raided the Stonewall Inn with a search warrant investigating reports liquor was sold illegally at the bar. The Stonewall Inn was also frequented by homosexuals many of them underage. As a result of the raid, three days of rioting by homosexuals and those who sympathized with them erupted and hence, we have the beginning of the gay rights movement.

During the last 42 years, this movement has captured much cultural, political and legal territory. Proof of this fact is in the following: Beginning in 1961(8 years before Stonewall), Illinois became the first state to decriminalize homosexuality, and for the next 40 plus years until 2003, 37 more states had decriminalized homosexual behavior also. In 2003 when the Supreme Court overturned all state laws forbidding homosexual behavior, only 13 states had sodomy laws still on the books. In 1999 President Bill Clinton became the first ever president to declare that the month of June 1999 was Gay and Lesbian Pride Month; he also went on to place the Stonewall Inn, where the riots occurred, on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, because of course, that is where they say the Gay rights movement began. In 2009 President Barack Obama added ‘transgender’ to his Proclamation of the month of June being, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, And Transgendered Pride Month. Five states and the District of Columbia now recognize homosexual marriage, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont and New Hampshire. As of May 20th 2011 a Gallup found 53 % of Americans now favor same sex marriage. The fact that our culture has been corrupted that much in 40 plus years is incredible but true, and an indication of how little effect the Body of Christ has on our culture.

During these last 42 years, this movement has also, sad to say, captured much ecclesiastical territory. The Episcopal, United Methodist, Presbyterian and Lutheran denominations are in turmoil over this issue. In 2008 the Episcopal church split over homosexuality, and in May of 2011the Presbyterian Church USA began allowing practicing male and female homosexuals in their ministry. How could this happen in the church? I use to ask that same question until I began doing research into it in the early 1980’s. I found that a corruptive and perverted form of theology that centers on homosexuality has gained a foothold in these denominations. Homosexual theology is a system of belief that rejects the clear meaning of what Scripture teaches about homosexuality and replaces it with a twisted, distorted interpretation.

One of the arguments used in this twisted interpretation is the false teaching that homosexuality was not at all a factor in God’s decision to destroy “the cities of the plain”, but other sins were the cause for such a violent reaction from heaven. To prove this, the advocates of homosexuality say that of all the references to Sodom in the Bible, only the passages in Genesis chapter 19 specifically mentions any form of homosexuality, all the other passages, they say, point to other sins. As I began to study the Scriptures that point out these ‘other sins’, I found out that although these Scriptures do mention‘other’ sins that Sodom was guilty of; these ‘other’ sins are also characteristics or behaviors of the contemporary homosexual movement. These revelations totally blew me away. I saw clearly for the first time that homosexuality in 20th century B.C. Sodom was no different than homosexuality in 21st century America, or of 7th century B.C. Israel or of 1st century A.D. Corinth. In their perverted effort to shift the sin of Sodom away from homosexuality, these devil’s advocates (and I mean that literally), have ignorantly pointed us toward a Scripturally revealed glimpse of the homosexual movement in ancient Sodom that gives us a bigger picture of what life was like in Sodom and shows us that Gay or Homosexual Pride is not a recent phenomena.

Ezekiel 16:49 is one of the passages homosexual advocates point to that they say does not mention homosexuality and although they are correct, they conveniently fail to mention the ‘abomination’ that is attributed to Sodom in Ezekiel 16:50.

In Ezekiel 16:49 (KJV) the prophet writes the following, “Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride…” The first sin listed in this scripture is “pride”. Now pride itself is sin, but Sodom’s pride was in its sin; Sodom was proud of its sin. In Isaiah 3:8, 9, the prophet says, “For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongues and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of His glory. The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul!  For they have rewarded evil unto themselves.” The NIV reads, “The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it.” The use of the word “parade” in the NIV is extremely interesting because he is describing the citizens of Jerusalem and how they are exactly like the citizens of ancient Sodom, they parade their sin! The Hebrew word for “declare” in the KJV and “parade’ in the NIV is ‘nagad’, and it means “to stand boldly out against, to manifest, to announce (by word of mouth), to proclaim, to celebrate with praise.” Remember that the context is sin, particularly homosexuality, so the various definitions back up the NIV’s translation; “To announce (their sin) by word of mouth,” “to proclaim (their sin),” “to celebrate (their sin) with praise”, and finally, “to boldly stand out (in their sin).”

Anyone who has witnessed a Gay Pride Parade has seen these definitions literally come alive before their eyes. In these parades the homosexual is celebrating the “pride”he or she has in their homosexuality. In their blind ignorance, the homosexual movement’s use of the word “pride,” indicts them as a prophetic link to ancient Sodom in Ezekiel 16:49 and Isaiah 3:8, 9. According to these verses, the homosexuals in 20th century B.C. Sodom and 7th century B.C. Jerusalem exhibited the same behavior, they boldly stood out to proclaim and announce and celebrate their homosexuality. Truly the Scripture declares in Ecclesiastes 1:9, “there is no new thing under the sun.”

The first homosexual “pride” parade was held in 1970 in New York City, celebrating the first anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots that occurred in June of 1969. Thirty years later, in 1999, Interpride: The International Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgendered Pride Coordinators listed 108 homosexual celebrations in 108 U. S. cities and 15 others in Canada, Australia and South Africa, while a group across the Atlantic, the European Pride Organizers Association listed 53 homosexual celebrations in 19 different European countries. In the total of 176 worldwide celebrations listed, 146 have the English word “pride” in the official title. Five years later in 2004, I searched 5 different websites and found 310 homosexual “pride” celebrations. Here in 2011 the websites featuring homosexual pride events are too numerous to mention and it would be worthless to put forth the effort to count them, though not doubt there numbers would see an increase. In 21st century America, just as they were in 20th century B.C. Sodom, homosexuals are proud of their sin.

In the first ever Presidential proclamation concerning homosexuality in 1999, then President Clinton wrote, “Now, Therefore, I, William J. Clinton, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do thereby proclaim June 1999 as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month. I encourage all Americans to observe this month with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities that celebrate our diversity…”It is not a coincidence President Clinton used the word “celebrate” in reference to homosexuality; the President was encouraging us to celebrate homosexuality with a sense of pride in homosexuality as they did in Sodom also.

All these developments are just part of the fulfillment of a prophetic word spoken by Jesus in Luke 17:28, 30: “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot…even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” The profound revelation in this is only grasped as I said earlier, when we look at these other Scriptures that mention Sodom’s other sins, where a much bigger and clearer picture of life in Sodom immerges. An ugly picture I am fully persuaded, that has been seen in isolated places, but will appear more common in 21stcentury America.

I’m just fed up!

Posted by Shirley Anne on April 1, 2011

I have thought much about my life recently and how it is going. I am not pleased at all and I am thinking of getting out and finding something else to satisfy me. I am fed up with people putting me under so much pressure and it seems that I am always at somebody’s beck and call. I write a lot about my life and the things I am doing or have been doing. I read other people’s blogs and I am constantly answering emails and phone calls. The things I like doing I cannot find enough time to do so with that in mind I am re-organising my life and I shall be backing out of writing blog posts too. It has been fun but I must move on. Thank you for your support. Love

Moderation

Posted by Shirley Anne on March 27, 2011

One of the things about this site (and probably others too) is the fact that I can moderate and delete comments if I think they breach the rules, my rules or the rules of my host! I have the choice of editing sections I don’t like or correcting spelling mistakes and generally everything that an editor is capable of doing. However I limit those priveleges mainly to the correction of spelling mistakes and the editing out of offensive or abusive language, pornography or anything of that nature. I also reserve the right (and do so sometimes) to remove links to sites that are pornographic or have been placed in comments for advertising purposes and things of that nature. I do not edit out comments (or parts thereof) that I simply disagree with. The whole point of allowing comments is to find out what others think. If I disagree with anyone I will let it be known and offer counter-argument but I don’t usually delete comments unless for reasons stated above. To edit out parts I do not agree with I think is wrong. What is the point of making it look as though everyone who comments agrees with me? If I don’t want comments for any reason (and sometimes I don’t if I wish only to make a statement or give out information) I disable the ability for anyone to make them. This is the case for this post. Comments have been disabled because I am simply making a statement of information.

I just don’t get it!

Posted by Shirley Anne on December 23, 2010

The more I look into it the more I understand just how stupid it is. I am talking about Christmas. Let me explain……..

The festival of Christmas is a totally man-made affair which dishonours God.
It isn’t something that God ordained or likes, He even says so yet people ignore that.
Believers and unbelievers alike think it is a wonderful thing and have turned it into a secular holiday.
Believers think they are celebrating the birth of Jesus, they aren’t, they are celebrating another Jesus.
Jesus was never in Christmas in the first place!
The festival is steeped in paganism and honours Satan not God.
It is turning more and more into a ‘magical’ time of year. ‘Magical’, where did that come from?
It revolves around money.
People buy each other presents. Why? The Magi brought gifts to a king for His burial, not His birth.
It is a time for children and families. What about the rest of the year?
Don’t families meet throughout the year?
Children are told lies. They are told about the person it is supposed to be about, albeit in error.
Do they take that to heart? No! The tinsel and glitter get in the way!
Those who are ridiculed for exposing Santa as a lie are only telling the truth.
People don’t want their children to know about God but they still go through the motions at Christmas.
They tell their children lies instead!
People don’t want to know the truth.
People don’t want to know God.
People accuse God of all sorts of things yet most of them don’t believe in Him. Very odd.
People are selfish and think only of themselves at Christmas and what they can get out of it.
They indulge in gluttony.
Many want a white Christmas presumably because of the feel good factor. It didn’t snow in Bethlehem!
Neither can reindeer fly!
People overspend and get themselves into debt
They drink too much and some become violent and abusive to their own and to others. Goodwill to all?

Need I go on? There are lots more……………

To Christians: Pray to God EVERY day. Honour Him with your lives and how you spend it. Obey Him and not the ways of this world with all its pagan traditions.

To others: Get to know God. You won’t regret it and you won’t miss the traditions of men.

Mark 7: 1-13
