Yes Tina you are right, the death of anyone is hard to bear for me but murder is something else. I cannot for the life of me think of any reason why someone should do this. This makes it more difficult to deal with I feel. No, I shan't be speaking with the police unless of course they ask me to. I believe the guy who did it has given himself up to the police already so there will be little reason for them to chat with anyone else except perhaps her family and neighbours.

Thank you Emily. I knew this lady very well. I took her out to lunch one day driving to a country pub I know. I have often spent time with her. I saw her three times this year, the first time to do a small job, the second was with my computer, showing her all the things that we use computers for as she was thinking about buying one. I searched the Internet for a poem that was special to her, printed it out and took it to her. The last time I went we had to sit in the bedroom upstairs as all her furniture has been taken there. The house was subject to subsidence and she was having the ground floors levelled. That was when I saw the scaffolding almost ready to collapse. I tried a few times to get in touch with the builder but as it was a Sunday I could get no reply. I warned her not to stand in the front garden in case it fell on her. That was 21st Jan. No doubt she would have telephoned me again soon. I didn't get much sleep last night thinking about the whole affair. I cannot imagine what her family are going through right now if it affected me as it has done. The big question is why? Such a shame.

I'm so sorry to hear that you were touched by something so sad. It's horrible that something like this can happen and, as you said, I hope that your client, Margaret, rests in peace.

Take care of yourself, Shirley Anne.

Hugs,

I don't think it is about tolerance Emily. We should all be tolerant of others who believe differently whether we are Christians or not. It is obviously a Christian site so you would expect them to be witnessing for Christ, which they are doing but at the same time they are simply showing how the Christian faith is different from other faiths by comparing them. Being tolerant is not the same as being accepting though. It would be pointless to believe in what we believe and be accepting of other faiths unless we believe that other faiths all lead to the same source as our own. It would be pointless in having so many different faiths too if that were the case. This is why Christians don't accept the faiths of others but tolerant we must be. I hope that makes sense.

Hmmmm... Interesting site. I guess you're not surprised that I disagree with a lot that is said on it, but they've done a very comprehensive job of covering a Christian view of the other belief systems existent on this little planet of ours. It's a shame, though, that they're not able to be more tolerant of these other belief systems.

Hi Gail. Welcome to my blog. Thank you for commenting. Your dreams probably do make sense but only whilst you are asleep. It's when we try to make sense of them when awake that we realise just how jumbled they are but they will most probably be based on events in your life whether old ones or what happened yesterday, That's my humble opinion anyhow. I actually love dreaming as long as I'm not getting chased all over the place and isn't is odd that when you run in your dreams that often your feet feel like lead weights! It's the dreams about wanting to visit the loo that make me wake up promptly...LOL

Hi Lucy, thanks for your visit and comment. There are many different types of person to be sure but that isn't an excuse for those who are contentious and aggressive to others. Maybe they cannot help being that way but they still have the ability to change.

I feel much the same way. Keep away from contentious people if you can, stand your ground if you can't.

One shouldn't judge, but I think it's entirely reasonable to prefer people who are upbeat, optimistic, sensible, discerning, and genuinely knowledgable without being know-alls. I also like those who don't dither and can make up their mind. But they can fall short on these qualities and still be a good friend, provided they can be peaceful and gentle company.
