I dedicate this page to things that annoy me. I will add content as I recall instances.

1 Drivers…………

Those who persist in sitting with their foot on the brake when stationary. This means their brake lights are fully illuminated and in your face. I tend not to park immediately behind them if I can avoid it.

Those who for whatever reason fail to indicate before a manoeuvre or do so at the very last second. How difficult is it to flick a switch?

Those who pull out in front of you and then dawdle along at a speed much slower than your’s causing you to brake unnecessarily.

Those who persistently drive slowly when it is unnecessary causing tail-backs behind them.

Drivers who drive with their windows down and their music blasting away so loudly you can hear it half a mile away. Are they deaf? They soon will be.

Drivers who use their cellphones whilst driving are a danger and a menace on our roads. Haven’t they heard about hands-free kits?

Speeders in restricted areas.

Once when as a passenger in my ex’s car we were driving along a busy main road and approached one of those mini-islands. Another car was in front of us and the driver had stopped at the island on a ‘T’ junction. There was a road to the right of us . This is normal behaviour if another vehicle was approaching from the right. There wasn’t. In fact the only vehicles on or approaching the island were coming from the opposite direction and they were driving through in the opposite direction to us. The driver in front of us, a man, was indicating a right-turn and had right-of-way at the island. He should have proceeded turning right but he just sat there waiting for a gap in the oncoming traffic! There is no reason to do that because he had right-of-way. A queue had formed behind us as we waited for his final decision to move! I cannot understand why some people drive they way they do especially as they have had to undergo a strict driving test and should know better. It is very frustrating to say the least.

2 People……..

People who pick their noses in public.

Litter louts.

Noisy children. Yes I know, I used to be one too. Honest!

Children in pubs.

Selfish people.

Queue jumpers.

3 Personal……..

Being woken during a ‘cat nap’…….

Lazy sons who cannot be bothered to clean up after themselves……..LOL

4 Cold callers……..

I am infuriated with people and organisations who telephone via my landline with special offers or begging pleas. I am frequently interrupted by these nuisance calls and there doesn’t appear to be much I can do about it. Another annoying thing which happens less frequently are those who ring the doorbell wanting to sell me something.

5 Spam……

We all know about spam. We get it through our letter boxes, we get it inside newspapers and we get it via email. This blog alone attracts an inordinately large amount of spam. Thankfully though it gets blocked by the ‘Akismet’ spam blocking system. Why do people generate spam especially when it is a known fact that the recipients are not interested? People say machines send out spam automatically to emails but somebody writes their programs. The same applies to postal mail and pamphlets inside newspapers, somebody has initiated it.

6 Xmas
People who don’t know why, even if in error, we celebrate Christmas. They impose ‘X’ upon the day and forget Christ. The reason we celebrate Christmas is all wrong but to call it Xmas without knowing the real reason is what I dislike. Well there is an explanation.
