Sentenced to life

Died for Your Sins

Today marks the anniversary of a very special person’s death. He died some 2000 or so years ago in agony on a wooden cross. When after some hours he finally died he was taken down and placed in a tomb under guard. Three days later when the tomb was opened they found no body. Death could not hold him for he had risen to everlasting life. He was back with his Father in heaven. He was back from whence he came and is alive today. He had taken upon himself the sins of mankind, the sins of each and every one of us, believers or not and set us free in doing so. If we place our trust in him, believe with all our hearts that he paid the penalty on our behalf, repent and ask him into our lives we have the assurance of eternal life. I think I much prefer to be sentenced to life than be sentenced to death. Praise the Lord my Saviour Jesus Christ.
